By car
We are located in the limited traffic zone. The limited traffic zone (ztl) is a large area located within the historic center of Bologna in which the movement of motor vehicles is restricted. Our Guests have total access because we take care of communicating your license plate number to the office in charge. You will only have to remember to communicate it to us when you check-In and you will not have to do anything else but follow the directions below to arrive in front of the hotel:
Exit 7 of the ring road, direction Bologna center. Go all the way down Via Stalingrado always in the direction of the center for about 2 km. At the end of this road, you will come to a bridge with an overpass where there is a traffic light. At the traffic light, go straight ahead thus entering Via Mascarella. At the end of the street, turn left onto Via Irnerio, then turn right onto Via Bertoloni. Go down Via Bertoloni without worrying about the prohibition of transit in the University Zone (to which you are allowed access as our clients). At the end of this street, turn right onto Via Belle Arti where you will find the Hotel on your right, you can stop in front: we will immediately assist you and show you how to enter our courtyard to park your car! Remember to report the license plate number of your car to the front desk!
Private parking available on site (spaces are limited and reservation of parking space is subject to confirmation by us) at a cost of 25 €/day. Alternatively, it is possible to purchase a municipal permit at the front desk to park on the street in parking spaces marked by blue lines; the cost is Euro 9.00/24 hours.

Follow this street in the direction of the center. Pass the first intersection and continue straight on this street until, on your left (after about 50 meters), you will find Via Augusto Righi. Follow this street which becomes Via delle Moline and after about 5 minutes you will be at the intersection with Via delle Belle Arti. Here turn right. After a few meters on your right you will find the Hotel.
Alternatively, you can decide to take the C shuttle and get off nearby in Piazza San Martino.
Last alternative is to take a cab.

From the airport

The historic center of Bologna is about 10 km from the airport. If you are traveling solo or as a couple, it is better to take the round-trip tickets of the Marconi Express that allows you to arrive easily, and in a very short time, at the Bologna Centrale train station. From there, you can take the C shuttle and get off behind our hotel in Piazza San Martino. If your are 3 people or more, on the other hand, it is more convenient to take a cab and arrive directly at the front door of the hotel!

Bologna is a city rich in history and art whose historic center has been preserved well, well-known for its long porticoes and towers. Find out what to see in Bologna: our hotel lies right in the city center and boast an ideal position to visit the whole city on foot.
Those who come to the city cannot help but notice the quantity and variety of the porticoes (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since July 2021) and our most famous landmark: the two Towers, Torre Garisenda, 47 meters high and the magnificent Torre Degli Asinelli, reaching 92.20 meters. You will definitely get curious and feel like climbing it to the top. This is why hundreds of tourists every day decide to climb the 498 steps to enjoy the wonderful view.
Piazza Maggiore is the place where everything happens, the city’s main hub and venue. Dominating the scene and capturing the attention of tourists is the Basilica of San Petronio, the city's main church and notably the sixth largest church in Europe. The square, 115 meters long and 60 meters wide, is surrounded by remarkable medieval palaces: Palazzo del Podestà (Podestà Palace), the most ancient one, topped by Torre dell’Arengo (Arengo Tower) and Palazzo Re Enzo (King Enzo Palace) which hosts a magnificent pedestrian crossroads which has become one of the symbols of the city.

To visit the Sanctuary of San Luca, so dear to the locals, you need to walk under a portico that is almost 4 km long and has 666 arches and 15 chapels. According to some, the number 666 would be no coincidence. Indeed, the “Devil’s” number would have been used to symbolize the snake-portico (its length and shape may remind it) and therefore represent the traditional Virgin Mary towering over and defeating the Devil. The scenic view gives an exciting memory. What will amaze you is the fact that often the people of Bologna, out of faith (or to keep fit) walk up the hill and then back down to the city. Would you like to try it too?
Want to see the most breathtaking view of the city?
Then include San Michele in Bosco, an impressive architectural complex comprising a church and a convent rising on the city's first hill, among your stops. The complex enjoys a large terrace with a panoramic view from which to enjoy the view of the city and the plain stretching all the way to the Alpine mountain range!
Bologna is synonymous with food.
Several tourists come to the city to taste the specialties which made it famous all over the world: tagliatelle, tortellini and lasagne, cold cuts and mortadella, parmigiano reggiano (parmesan cheese) and traditional balsamic vinegar (imported for the nearby Modena).
It is not a coincidence that the city’s motto is: Bologna the learned (because it hosts the world’s most ancient University), the fat (for its culinary tradition) and the red (for the colors of its roofs).

A stroll through the old Mercato del Quadrilatero (Quadrilatero Market) will set your eyes and palate ablaze with its delicatessen and deli, fruit and vegetable stores, fishmongers who also offer oysters and champagne, and old bakers with shop windows that also display all kinds of fresh pasta.
